"Where do I start the place is dated and not maintained well. Seaweed was bad which is not there fault but it smelt of sulfur. The bees were awful at the bar. Food was a buffet style that was not that great. Coffee shop had no espresso machine. It is in the middle of nowhere and you must taxi which is pricey or rent a car to do anything."

"The Cove Hotel was a wonderful stay for my daughter and I. It was a quiet, peaceful area of the island and had beautiful views of the mountains and ocean. Doug was FANTASTIC! He helped bring in our luggage, kept our room fresh and was always available with advice for restaurants or activities. "This is a unique property with a lovely access to the best beach ever! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The room is spacious and all utilities worked perfectly. I loved that it is non frills and at the same time well thought out in terms of comfort. Will certainly recommend and return!"

"This is it! The room is fantastic! If you love a great oceanic view with the soothing sounds of the ocean crashing against the rocks. This is it! The location is a bit secluded from the local towns buttt still within 20/30 min reach and believe me if you’re going for the views, there’s no need to leave the area. Great restaurant (AMA) on property and a few local spots a short walk away. Literally a 4 minute walk from the beach (Cane Bay). If you’re double minded… just pick this one."

"So one thing to remember here is that the property was built in the 60’s and sat for quite a while but with that said the rooms were immaculate…. Some of the resort does needs some updating like the pool which has a liner and sometimes it feels like you are walking on a sponge, but it was clean and well kept. "By far the best beach on the island. The property has everything you need. Cute. Modest. Steps from the beach. Perfect for a short term or long term stay! I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends and family, or book again! Cottages by the Sea is my new Happy Place!!!!!"
