"Great pool, hot tub and work out area!"

"Our room was ready hours before check-in, which was greatly appreciated. The room was on the 5th floor and was in a decent (albeit tired) condition. The floors were clean, but there was dust in the bathroom and main bedroom, and crumbs/dried food from a previous guest near the armchair. The air con did not work, but we were lucky that the window opened and let in some breeze. We ordered room service three times during our stay, twice for dinner and once for breakfast. Between our first and second nights, the menu changed; the reception sent up a "new" menu that was exactly the same as the one in our room. Ordering food was not a seamless experience. Breakfast was ordered for a 6.15am arrival, and we were called at 5.30am to be told that the omelettes were no longer available as they were not on the new menu. Receiving a call at 5.30am to be told that an item with three ingredients is no longer available could have been avoided if the hotel used consistent menus. Is the Fairmont an aesthetically beautiful hotel? Yes. Are the finishes and tech outdated? Absolutely. Are the staff helpful and kind? Sort of. Would I stay again? No."

"The staff were incredibly polite but the property is dated and could use updating and modernizing considering the price you pay. Clearly you’re paying for location. Sadly the hot tub was cold to lukewarm so that was disappointing as well. "

"The Moda Hotel is a great place to stay of you ate looking to experience downtown Vancouver. It is located within easy walking distance of entertainment venues and restaurantz. My only complaint was that the bed was very firm and did not have a fitted sheet, only a top sheet that was tucked in. "

"The hotel is nice but for the same price I would stay across at the faitmong. It Took 1.5 hours to check in. We were told that our room was not ready and to come back when we received a text, which was totally fine. When I came back, there was at least 60 people in line to check in or waiting for keys. I ended up phoning the hotel and I was told to “skip the line”. So I proceeded to the front and then was told I would have to line up. After almost 45 minutes they had helped maybe 4 people. I called the help line again and was told the same thing. I said there was a huge line up and that it was unacceptable to only have 3 people at reception for a huge cheerleading event. I was told it was an “expected event”. Varsity cheer is planned a full year ahead. "

"The property was clean, the rooms looked great, and check-in was efficient and easy. The rooftop closed earlier than the posted time, which was a bit disappointing, but still manageable. One downside was the shared bathroom setup—noise travels very easily. If your neighbor is up early (in my case from 4:45 to 8:00 a.m.) watching Tiktoks and using the bathroom, you’ll hear everything. On a positive note, the staff were very kind and helpful. In the morning, they even called the guest to pass along my message, which I really appreciated. "
