"Everything was almost perfect! This place was almost spotless' wide variety of breakfast, clean and nice gym. My floor on the 5th ..the ice and water machine didn't work at all. Had to go to another floor. They gave you two small water bottles with check in. They cleaned every other day. Had fridge microwave stuff to cook with. I had a king size bed with couch and pullout' big TV and remote. They had a fantastic rooftop to sit outside in cozy area with real snake plants and another section to...

"Westin San Jose under Marriott brand, I can only rate this location as three stars hotel for the room we got has no proper usb charging or electric plug in by the bedside. Staff seems to be okay with the fact that it is what it is for the city that’s boarder to silicon Valley. Expedia should advise the public that downtown locations charges $$$ for the parking which is about 1/4 of the published discount rate for the facility."

"As the hotel was connected to the McEnery Convention Center, travel from there to my room was very quick and efficient."

"It served it's function well enough. I barely spent any time in the room, just enough to do the essentials before heading to the convention I was in town for. The staff didn't always have the greatest grasp of English. And some minor gripes about amenities (only one soap provided that wasn't shower or hand washing specific, and no conditioner). I got what I paid for I guess. What made this place good was the surrounding area, mostly independent shops and restaurants, not something you'd see...

"For an older motel it is impressively clean and well maintained. The staff seems friendly and helpful although I had very little interaction with them. I really like area because of its walkable small downtown feel. My only recommendation is for in room coffee. Having stayed there before, I brought my own coffee maker, but I think this is a simple accommodation that would go a long way."

"The hotel had a musty dirty odor. We were surprised when we first arrived that all doors were locked for security. Upon entering the reception area was behind solid glass. This was disturbing to know that the neighborhood was not safe. We used the one small elevator to get to our room through narrow dimly lit hallways. The room had an odd odor. "Motel was close to the venue I went to for a concert. Took a bus. The owner was helpful. The room was clean. The bed was a little firm for my taste but not a huge issue. The walk in shower was nice. Lots of space to store clothes. Parking was easy. Cute, small motel located very close to downtown SJ."
