"This is a small, family-run hotel in a wonderful location! Many walking tours begin right next door. The staff was friendly and the rooms clean and comfortable. There are narrow stairs. They offer 10 % off at Theo's cafe on the ground floor, where we had lovely breakfasts every morning."

"Walkable location into Oxford. Good enough breakfast with cold items. Some rooms definitely better than others. Our top floor room was up a lot of fairly narrow stairs, had an uncomfortable slopped ceiling and shared a bathroom that had only a bathtub with a spray handle. Tough taking a shower without getting the whole bathroom wet! If you have any mobility issues it would have been an impossible room, but there are others that were better. If you have a car, pray you get one of the 4 parking...

"When I arrived at the property, it was unstaffed. There was a list of eight telephone numbers to call. I called one and was directed to open several key safes before the right key was found. When I reached my room, I found that instead of being the “standard” room I’d booked, it was a cheaper “compact room” - much more cramped and much less pleasant. I felt that cleanliness and maintenance left something to be desired - there was cracked and flaking paint, the electrics felt to me pretty amateur...
