"Perfect little hotel close to the castle. A little bit further away from the centre which means it's quieter than other places. Rooms were a little small - but all the staff were great! Breakfasts were large - but need to be purchased from the desk. No frills but a great last minute base for our time in Matsumoto"

"Conveniently located within walking distance to Matsumoto Castle. Complementary alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks every evening during your stay. The late night meal was offered too late for us so never got to try it. Would have loved if it was available for breakfast. In room washing machine was nice. The spa was very nice after long day of travel and walking. Helpful and kind staff."

"Very nice accommodations and very good value. The rooms are in need of a refresh, but extremely functional. Our only improvement would be the food variety. We stayed for one week, which is probably unusual for most guests so we tired of the same food day after day. There is great variety, but the same ever day. As an example, for fruit it's apple, banana and pineapples every breakfast varying with other fruits every other day would be a welcome change. Same with eggs, bread selections."
