I enjoyed being able to pop down into the pub for a bev or even a pizza. Quite walkable as well, I took a lovely morning stroll with a chai and croissant from down the way! "We got upgraded to a King room (the Kingsley room). It was spacious and lovely; the bed was comfortable. Access to Gatwick: straight-line distance to the edge of the airport is less than half a mile (but we didn't notice any airplane noise in the room), and straight-line distance to rental car return is a mile. However, because of the ... interesting... layout of roads around Gatwick, the shortest road route is 3.6 miles(!). Quibbles: * Shower was a little small and the controls were not...
