"Idea for a single person exploring the south-western Lake District."

"We could not fault this small hotel - top marks!"

"Regrettably our room number 6. Did not smell nice. It had the smell of old wet trainers. We did mention it and a room diffuser was turned on. Some of the fixtures and fitting were falling apart. "Fantastic location and friendly staff. Wonderful cooked breakfast. Great choice of local beer."

"A very clean and well equipped room - limited parking but perfectly adequate - disappointing lack of breakfast - rice crispies and cormflakes don't do it! Very good dinner and bar facilities"
