"The location was the reason for choosing this property. It’s a 15 minute walk to where we hired a motorboat. There are only 3 car park spaces at the hotel itself for guests. If they’re full, you have to park across the road by the glass bus stop. I managed to park at the hotel, but someone blocked me in. Luckily, I’m nimble and could manoeuvre to leave the hotel. "What lovely staff, so friendly. This is the best place i have stayed in yet on my Coast to Coast walk. Breakfast was amazing, apart from the usual full english (which loses its novelty after 5 days!) chose eggs benedict which was perfectly cooked and made a lovely change. "Pretty remote so if you’re out driving, make sure you become familiar with the (fairly convenient) bus schedule, although it’s a half mile from the bus stop, or be prepared to pay a healthy taxi/Uber fare from Keswick. The grounds are lovely and rooms/common areas well-maintained. Breakfast doesn’t start until 0745, very inconvenient for an early start. Staff could be a little more helpful in pointing out bus schedule, local attractions, arranging cabs, etc. a nice experience overall."
