"Very conveniently located to Loch Lomond & the highlands. The staff (Alistair, Faith, & George, to name a few) were professional, friendly, and accommodating. The dining room was bright & neat & clean. The food was very nice and there was a wide variety to choose from for dinner. This is an older hotel, but everything worked. The soundproofing was excellent! Could not hear the motorway or people in adjacent rooms or in the hallway, even though the hotel was full."

"One night stay. We had a ground floor room with a small balcony onto the water, which was great. The view was stunning and we were entertained by a family of swans, passing ducks, house martins and swallows. Bed was a good size and was reasonably comfortable. The furniture is starting to show its age. Both the breakfast room and the restaurant played pointless music both inside and even more annoyingly outside! We were disappointed with some of the food at the restaurant, which was overpriced....

"The hotel is fine to get to, but the parking is unbelievably annoying. You have to book ahead to confirm a space, but that costs £30 and then you have to somehow confirm with the booking company you were a guest. The rooms themselves were ok, slightly dated but not in a worrying way. However, we booked a family room which turned out to mean a bed and a sofa bed, and the sofa bed had no linens on it so we had to request that to get made after we'd checked in. "we stayed in room 4 and despite having a radiator this was centrally controlled by the main reception. we found this out on night 2 as when we went to bed on the first night we whacked the radiator on thinking that would be that but nope, cold as ice through the night. reception did sort but the room didnt get that warm so assuming the thermostatic valve wasnt fully operational. the shower screen squeegee at the bottom didnt properly fit and a gap up at the hinge point meant water escapes onto...

"Great place to stay. Hotel is kept in kind of dated 70's wallpaper style but it's very clean. Not well maintained you can see lack of proper finish after repairs. As always staff makes a fantastic job keeping guests happy. You can get amazing sleep with huge comfy and clean beds. Breakfast wise great choice both continental and cooked options. Swimming pool / leisure centre is highly recommended."

"Not a great experience The hotel is very shabby. Bed uncomfortable and room old fashioned. There was a random table in mine taking up space the room didn’t have with no chairs for it. No hairdryer in the room, had to phone down and ask for it. The iron leaked all over a cream skirt, spitting mucky water on it and marking it. Some kind of event / disco last night so extremely noisy and I wasn’t advised about it on check in. I have no issue at all with people having fun - and it sounded like...

"Lovely hotel and within easy distance to Southside of Glasgow. Staff were very polite, helpful and welcoming. Room was nicely decorated and spacious. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious and the bar staff were very good at recommending food and ensuring we had everything we needed."
