"This is quite a new hotel, and we found it very nice. All the finishings are very modern and luxurious. We had 2 single beds, and quite comfortable in it. The bathroom is especially nice and luxurious, staff is very helpful and friendly. Location is walking distance to everything in town. "

"We stayed at Scenic Southern Cross as part of a larger trip of New Zealand. The hotel was convenient to the central city and not far from the Octagon. The room was very comfortable and quiet although the view from room was a parking lot. We found parking on the street right across from the hotel for our overnight stay. The staff was great. We visited the Casino which was a good sized venue but did not gamble. We closed out our night on the town with a nightcap at the hotel bar watching rugby...
