"We had a fantastic stay at the Pinewood Camping Pods and were very impressed overall. A small thing to note is that the main car park is on the opposite side of the bridge, so you may need to walk over with your luggage. The resort does offer a shuttle service, but it’s worth arranging this in advance. The food was excellent. We ate at the Garden Room and were really impressed with both the quality and the range of options, especially for children. We also had dinner at the Bear Lodge...

The reason I gave the hotel a “good” rating is because our room was not what I expected. It was clean and the amenities were good, but it was small - on the top floor with smallish windows. "Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking. "

"I would like to ask for a full refund really but I know I won't get one. We were left in property on our own and told to lock up when we come and go. The sheets on the beds were dirty. Bathroom dirty. Tea and coffee in the room but no milk. We left at half 4 in the morning with little or no sleep at all. Terrible place "

"The view is wonderful, but I felt a little uncomfortable there - narrow corridors, unused sections of the hotel, doors without a peephole, relative isolation from the reception as no phone and quite a distance. The receptionist knocked on my door at 2.30am demanding I come out to discuss noise in the block. She thought it was from my room. I refused as it was not me. Apparently there was noise the next evening, but I slept through it."

"The family room was a good size and clean unfortunately the double bed had a dreadful squeak at every movement! However for one nights stay it was absolutely fine. I needed to wash and sterilise some baby bottles and despite it being 10pm the staff were very helpful and came back to give me access to the kitchen and microwave ( which again was very clean and tidy) we left too early for breakfast but I wouldn’t hesitate to book again for an overnight stop"
