"Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). Marshmallows, skewers, logs for the indoor and outdoor wood burners, and upmarket tea bags all complimentary; only let down by basic Nescafé coffee sachets and pots of UHT milk. A small fridge would be useful to allow for proper fresh milk and keeping drinks cool. Beds were comfy and the separated bunk...

"Great treehouse with buggy. Up early to go around the park with the buggy. Loved the clubhouse bar, toasting marshmallows over the fire. We would return, loved the animals, grounds & restaurants too! "

"Had a great room at front on top floor with great sea view. Room and hotel were clean. Did not have breakfast. Possibly understaffed. One night we got back at 9:30 and bar was closed. Lift was out Ok for us but was a problem for some other guests. Would probably use again . Hard to choose between this and the nearby voco."

"This was our first stay at the Marquis of Granby and we were very impressed with freindliness and attentiveness of the staff, the high standard of accommodation, breakfast and evening meal and all other gEneral facilities."

"Hotel is not fit to house a dog. Blood and semen on the bed, bed made out of wood, exposed electrics, shower door that doesn’t close. Half the building had pigeons flying around inside which we seen as we pulled up. All was reported to reception and asked for a refund, which was refused. We left and booked another hotel! After 2 hours of phone calls to hotels.com they agreed to refund for our booking. "

"I've been staying here a couple of weeks now for work/business, the rooms are spotless, great facilities; kettle, fridge, microwave, shower gel, hand soap, washing up liquid, glasses, cups, cutlery. WiFi, TV. Co op and pub restaurant within 50m, various takeaways within 150m.
