The hotel looked tired and dated. The view was excellent, The windows rattled in the wind, Parking was variable when we first arrived we parked outside the hotel, but when we arrived late one evening we struggled to find a space, eventually parking about a 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast did not have a good choice of fruits but the cooked food food was fine. The evening meals were good.

The staff at reception and in dining room were absolutely lovely,every conversation with them was a delight . Being off season too meant the hotel didn't feel too busy. We enjoyed a morning swim in the pool which we had all to ourselves.

Best Western Eastbourne

We stayed 2 nights. Good Location, we had a sea view which was nice, however, the net curtain was ripped. The room was clean and we had a kitchen, which is fully equipped. It is a 3 star, it's average, but if you don't want all the frills it's fine. Breakfast choice is minimal, fruit is just apples only. Coffee served, but i wanted a latte, was told Coffee machine is broken. This hotel needs updating. On a plus side, the bed was comfortable.

Room was dirty, delapidated, and very tired. There was a faded but obvious blood stain on a bedsheet, broken tiles and mould in the bathroom, broken aircon. Lovely view but the area felt sketchy at night. Big room, though. Fine for a night, but would be awful for a longer stay

Outdated but next to the beach and boulevard

Located next to the beach but Very outdated, carpet in diningroom was filthy and patched up with plastic and ducktape. Seats in diningroom looked as if they were from the 2nd world war. Bed was ok Bathroom faucet was rusty and sink very small. I put my toothbrush on the Glass shelf above sink and it fell off. So everything really old and crappy. Pool was ok. TV worked (better than other hotels where we stayed. Breakfast was ok. Typical English but ok. Staff was amazing, very helpfull and nice. When you are lucky and find a parkingspot across from the hotel they provide you with a tag so you can stay all day. We stayed two nights and had a spot across from the hotel every day.

We will be back ( hopefully several times!)

This was our 4th stay at York House & it just keeps getting better.. we had a super room on 3rd floor seafront.. so clean & comfy!! Staff all friendly & so helpful & thoughtful. We highly recommend this home from home & enjoyed the swimming pool as well as our B&B experience.

We’d expected one large room but instead found ourselves in a 2 bedroom flat! Clean, new bathrooms and area was wonderful. Ate in the restaurant twice and staff were lovely and attentive and food was great. Would definitely return.

Really nice hotel and great hospitality from the staff. While some parts of the hotel are a little bit dated, I booked 3 rooms for my family and I and all the rooms where modern, spacious and clean. The breakfast and dinner was also really good! Recommend using the pool also which is nice when it’s fairly empty. Parking is super cheap at £2 a day although you may have to drive around a bit to find a spot.
