"We recently stayed at Dreams Onyx in Punta Cana and overall had a really good experience. The resort itself is beautiful, very well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Check-in was smooth and easy, which was a great start to the trip.
A huge shoutout to Elias, our butler, who was absolutely amazing. He checked in with us daily, made sure we had everything we needed, and was always quick to help. Housekeeping was also very responsive — anytime I requested the room to be cleaned, it was done right away.
One of the best parts of our stay was being a Preferred Club member. Having access to adult-only areas away from kids made the experience much more relaxing. We also loved the easy access to Breathless next door, which gave us more options for entertainment and exploring.
There were a few downsides though. Unfortunately, the food was pretty underwhelming overall, and the drinks were not great for an all-inclusive resort. I think it would be fun if the resort offered a really good “signature drink of the day” to make the experience feel more special.
The room appeared clean at check-in, but there were still a few issues like hair around the room and something left in the toilet, which was disappointing upon arrival.
The nightlife was decent, but everything seemed to shut down pretty early, so don’t expect much late-night entertainment.
The biggest disappointment was definitely the beach. It was completely covered in seaweed."
