"An elegant hotel, quite grand and very nicely decorated to fit the period of the building. Staff were very helpful. Good location, few bars and places to eat nearby. About 15 minutes walk to the busier parts of the city. Loved the library on the to floor and balcony. Honesty bar a nice touch. Room and bathroom very spacious. "

"The hotel is beautiful and grand, and is located around a 35 minute walk from the central part of Lisbon. The quality of the breakfast was excellent and everything is prepared to order but the service is "leisurely", don't expect to be finished quickly! The gardens are a lovely spot to have a drink after visiting the city. Some areas need some improvements, for example there was some mould in the bathroom and the furniture in our room was very stained. However overall this was a lovely place to explore Lisbon. Be aware there isn't a lift and all rooms are accessed via steep stairs."

"My wife and I had a lovely stay here. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was a good size and had a good view over the gardens and river. The staff were wonderful and the service was excellent. The food was first class. The hotel is in a quiet area and a little removed from the shops, museums etc but that was fine for us. "
