"Beautiful old building and spacious rooms. Unfortunately we stayed during a great wave and the bedroom was stiflingly hot as there is no air conditioning. There was a fan available. We had upgrade rooms which were perfect and very clean. Some staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, others not so much!"

"Everything about our stay here was great. The staff were very helpful and caring. The room itself was outstanding - even had a view of York Minster. There was a tea service in the room including cookies and chocolates.The breakfast was the typical English breakfast which is a lot of food and it was all delicious. I would gladly stay here again."
