One of the coolest places I ever had the pleasure of staying at!! I’d give 10 stars if I could. Excellent location!! Extremely clean and wonderful staff!! A 14th century structure with all the best modern upgrades! Located right on the main street and about a 2 minute walk from the duomo - yet, with huge rock walls and double-pane windows, we didn’t hear any of the crowd below. Step out the door and you have shopping, cafes and restaurants within steps!! The host was super nice, professional and so accommodating. Comfy bed and amazing upgraded bathroom!! I dig the big shower - only shower I’ve experienced which is better than mine at home! If I’m ever lucky enough to return to Florence, I’ll definitely stay here again!! Arrivederci!

AC was originally on winter mode when we arrived. With no window in the room, it was quite stuffy/muggy. The staff was lovely in that they spent almost 2 hours trying to figure it out and get it working.

Beautiful hotel with an incredibly polite and welcoming staff. The receptionist, Robbie (Rebecca), was outstanding and truly made the stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, and if you book a water-view room with the mountains in the background, the scenery is absolutely surreal. Although the hotel is located directly across from the train station and you can hear the trains, it didn’t bother my wife or me at all—the breathtaking setting more than made up for it. I would absolutely come back and stay again without hesitation. Adam G

Our hosts were the highlight of our stay, as they were so kind and made us feel so welcome. The room itself (Honeymoon suite) was beautiful, with some exposed stone, but with modern finishings. Lounging in the room was almost as good as exploring the city! Breakfast was also fabulous, prepared with care. There are a few flights of stairs to the property but the hosts are willing to help bring bags up. Location couldn't be better.

Was everything it should have been - clean , comfy, good breakfast, very nice people working there. The only negative was my 71 year old wife wasn't keen on the 4 flights os stairs.

Fantastic room and staff. The owners were very helpful and always available. The location was amazing. We were in a quiet area that was about 1 block from major sites. Walkable to everything.

Great location! Tasty breakfast with lots of options. Please note you have to climb 50 steps (three flights of stairs). The host helped carry our bags but caution if you have mobility issues.

This is the place to stay if you want to see the sites in Florence. It is literally next to the Duomo and all the amazing stores and restaurants. Even though the streets are noisy- you will not hear anything when in the hotel. It is on the third floor and has no elevator so be prepared to carry your bags up and down the stairs. Breakfast is fresh and wonderful and the staff are very helpful and kind.

I'll start with: I would not stay here again, or recommend for any long stay. I stayed with a friend in the Fauna room. We are both larger sized women with hips and not in athletic shape. PROS: The location is amazing. The price is affordable. Antonio who works in the morning was very nice even though he doesn't speak fluent English, he works hard and does his best to host and help. He was wonderful. CONS: Bed: like sleeping on a futon, very hard, thin mattress. Pillows were flat and firm. Bathroom: Shower is capsule stand up like on a cruise ship. Very difficult to maneuver around in. One morning the water fully cut off. Room in general: the rock walls while pretty, are FULL of dust. Room is dimly lit. I didn't notice until packing up that the wall with area to hang your clothes looks like it is full of mold growth? I believe between the dust and possible mold that is what caused my constant allergies in the hotel. Both my friend and I were sneezing often while in the hotel but ok when we left. Yes the stairs were difficult but it is common in Europe. This is my 7th visit to Europe, 20 hotels, by far the least cleanliness. Breakfast was extremely basic, again though for the price ok, IF it was CLEAN and maintained properly.

The room was great, fresh water , coffee and treats . Check in was easy , Daniel helped with bags and set us up with everything we needed. He arranged for or taxi that picked us up for early airport flight. Highly recommend.

Loved this little hotel! The staff were so kind and accommodating! Loved the breakfast, the room was adorable and felt so big with large vaulted ceilings. We stayed in 5 cities on our trip and this was by far our favorite hotel. Couldn't pick a better location either!!
