"Great Property, but Service Needs a Personal Touch I had mixed feelings about my recent stay. On the positive side, the rooms were spotless and the property itself is in excellent condition. However, the service didn’t quite live up to the surroundings. I believe great hospitality is all about the little things, and a few details were missed during my visit: A Slow Welcome: After a long flight delay, I arrived around 8:00 PM. Unfortunately, the reception desk was empty. I waited about 10 minutes to be greeted because the staff member was outside chatting. It wasn't the "welcome" I was hoping for after a stressful travel day. The Towel Situation: On my second day, the cleaning crew didn't leave enough towels. Instead, I found a note telling me to go down to the front desk to ask for more myself. Missing Amenities: The hotel advertises complimentary items like combs, but when I requested one, I was told they didn't have any in stock. The Bottom Line: While none of these issues are "deal-breakers" on their own, they added up to a feeling that the guests aren't the top priority. I’d love to see the team show a bit more warmth and proactive care—it would make such a difference in an otherwise lovely hotel!"

"This property clearly has a lot of history and potential, but it is starting to show its age in ways that a fresh coat of paint cannot hide. While the room was a fair value, the maintenance and upkeep lacks a necessary attention to detail. Several areas showed where old fixtures had been removed and simply painted over without repairing the drywall and the hot tub was missing its finishing trim work. More concerning was the bathroom soap dispenser, not only was it empty, it was crudely screwed back into a damaged wall without any finish work. Even the exterior felt unfinished, with blue painter’s tape still visible on the windows. The room’s comfort and functionality also fell short. The mattress was significantly worn, causing my wife and I to roll into the middle throughout the night. The TV was off set in a weird location from the bed. Additionally, the toilet paper holder was placed in an awkward, inconvenient spot, and the hot tub lacked any instructions for operation. Finally, the property is very "no-frills." There are zero amenities on-site—no continental breakfast, no vending or pop machines and the ice machine was difficult to locate. It is a pleasant enough stay for the price, but the property would benefit greatly from a maintenance professional who focuses on the smaller finishing touches and basic guest conveniences."

"Although recently reported as renovated, the work to do so was quite poor in my opinion. My TV only worked every 10 minutes and was quite old. Bathroom mirror light did not work, no bath fan. The room furnishings were outdated. My door to the hall did not fit the opening very well and you could see through to the hallway from the room. Very unpleasant odors from time to time. On the other hand the location is very good, staff was nice, breakfast was decent, and the price was reasonable. Such a shame because the area is great and the opportunity for this hotel thrive is very good. Not sure I would stay there again."

"This place was an ok stay. There was hair on the walls of the washroom but I can see how that was mistakenly overlooked during cleaning because the shower head doesn't move much to be able to reach whoever put that there. The room was clean, towels were clean, and staff was very friendly. The breakfast was lacking but I didn't expect much because they didn't seem overly busy. It would have been wasteful if there was more items. The waffles turned out great."
