"This is a gorgeous and unique place, in a historic neighborhood whose charm is second to none. Very glad we stayed there! The only drawback was the lack of breakfast which is apparently only on weekends. There should have been a first-rate coffee setup to make up for this, but supplies were short and there was no silverware. Also, no live television in the room, only youtube TV."

"I've stayed here a handful of times now when I come into town for business. It used to be really clean and very nice, but over the past few years its gone downhill a little bit. Its still pretty clean, but needs to be updated and is not as nice as it used to be overall."

"Great location we could walk everywhere. The pool was closed though they should tell you that on line when you’re booking your room. Was very clean and the staff was very nice."

"We went to Grand Harbor Convention Center for a Junior Pool Tournament event. Stay in this hotel for a whole week. Very satisfied as far as I concern. The facility is a little outdated. So do not expect it look like a 4-star hotel. But the rooms are maintain really clean. The breakfast is good too. It is right by the river. So very convenient for a relaxing evening walk. I will definitely stay here again if the event is at the same location next year."

"Things we liked was the pool and the location to downtown Dubuque. Things we didn’t like were the hard beds, the lack of choices for breakfast, the old school lock system on the doors, the smell of weed in the area of the rooms, the trash cans not emptied and the smell in the stair cases"

"First of all in the elevator there is a hand written sign that says" When you get to your desired floor HOLD the door open button so the door will open". Then the elevator doesn't stop even with the floor and my first step out was face first on the floor as the elevator stopped about 3 inches above the floor. The room felt like a jail cell, you can open window all the way open (4th floor) and no bars on the screen so a child could fall out, toilet is so low to floor as if you are using a...

"Clean. Quiet. Secluded location. Allows dogs for a fee. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaints are that they lock the front doors at night so you have to use the fire exit if you want to leave early in the morning or let your dog out to go to relieve themselves. No staff there before 7am. Also the bed was VERY HARD. My husband liked it but a bit hard for my liking. It's an older property but has been nicely renovated inside. We stayed in the regular hotel not the bio-healing side....
