"Despite the 1960s look from the front and the scaffolding this hotel is built into the side of the hill is a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food was excellent and the views of Mawgan Porth were stunning even in the unpleasant weather that we had. Really enjoyed the spa too. Even the Yogi tea that was on offer. Would definitely stay there again"

"Very bad hotel, most of the things in the reception and lobby are broken. Carpets are really dirty, I mean this hotel and its room and carpets will redefine the meaning of unhygienic and filthy. The rooms are so smelly. We had to request for change of room and second room was equally smelly and dirty."

"Julie at the front desk was very friendly and personable when I checked in. I have to agree with her, the sunset from just across the street from the hotel is spectacular. "Could do with a hoover under bunk beds. Didn’t have all of the advertised vegetables with roast dinner and wasn’t offered any alternatives or discount. Service in restaurant and bar slow at times. Beautiful view of PolZeath beach . Sofas could do with a clean as water stains on them and a few more cushions on sofa would be a nice extra.Overall very pleased with our stay and would return again."
