"Having a kitchen with a full size fridge and stove was awesome! The washer/dryer was another great resource to have in the room. There’s a free shuttle that comes every 30 minutes to take you to a destination in that area was great too. The pools are awesome. There was a section for 18+, 16+, and all ages. So if you don’t want to be in a “splash zone” you have that option. The food from the pool bar was yummy and was at a decent price. We are from Hilo and will definitely be planning another...

"many things to like about this resort but also few criticisms too. A big highlight that was beneficial to our stay was the complimentary refillable water bottles. There are many refillable water stations throughout the resort and we took them out everyday around the island. Another amenity is the free shuttle rides throughout the Mauna Lea district for food options or entertainment. I did like the proximity to a private beach for snorkeling and/or swimming. "This is an exceptional property, large, expansive and beautifully integrated into the landscape. The staff is exceptional and will impress you from the moment of your arrival. The rooms are nicely decorated in an authentic, local character. We only dined at one restaurant, ULU, and it was excellent. This experience was first class all the way."

"I really enjoyed my stay here.. met all my expectations. Wasn't until the last couple days I ordered food to back to my room at the food truck by the pool and was left highly disappointed... if I ate near the pool and not packaged to go the food portions were appropriate.. otherwise i felt completely ripped off. Don't want to punish the resort for a couple few bad actors that seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Ordered food on 6/2 @ 11:30am."
