"The room standards were not great, as the rooms appeared old by hotel standards. The heating systems were exposed, and a portable air conditioner had been added to the room, which did not give it the feel of a proper hotel room. The supposedly white dressing gowns provided were visibly used, although they had been washed. One of them was also very old and discoloured into brown, so I could not use it. "The hotel itself was great, my only issue was it was unbearably hot. There is a fan provided in the room which was welcomed, but the window didn't open. I was also on the third floor, with my toddler which would have been fine however the carpet was really thick and my suitcases got stuck and coming out the lift there were 4 steps down and back up to navigate. "Booked room with a sofa but room had third bed in so there was no sofa. Could hear other guests children late at night and very early in morning so rooms are not sound proofed. No heating in bathroom so cold and not even winter yet. Hotel is very convenient to M6 and staff were very professional and friendly. Breakfast was very good and fresh."

"We have just enjoyed a lovely stay. Room 101 was spacious and comfortable, with splendid views from the big bay window. We were due to dine out but when we saw the menu for the restaurant, Coast, we chose to eat in, an excellent decision because our dinner was delicious! "Sorry to have to say this but this hotel is really not great, even for the price. They advertise as 'no dogs allowed' (fair enough and something I don't disagree with) yet when I went to check in, upon walking through the front door the first thing that struck me was the overwhelming smell of dog, and to be greeted by two loud dogs barking at me behind the small check in desk before any member of staff appeared.
