"The hotel is descent for the price! It’s very convenient for families who are visiting Legoland. It’s about a 5-7 min drive. Pros: Free parking, complimentary breakfast, clean rooms and great staff (we forgot a cell phone in the room and the front desk called us immediately to notify us). Cons: The beds are pretty firm. I’ve stayed at various hotels and these were not comfortable. You will need to drive if you want to pick up food or dine out. The only thing located within walking distance is...

"Good and clean. Do NOT stay in the rooms on the first floor on the South side of the building. Loud as hell! But otherwise, a great stay. "

"Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The lobby has a spa like vibe, rooms are large, breakfast is light but has a concierge quality. Beds are comfortable, the pool again has a concierge like quality, and the amenities are wonderful. This far exceeded my expectations and would definitely stay again."

"This hotel is perfectly located by the beach and downtown Carlsbad. The hotel staff is excellent and very helpful. The rooms need some updating and repairs. Our room was not very clean and needed some maintenance. The property itself is very nice and well taken care of. "

"Property stunk like weed and with no AC, made it really miserable to not be able to open windows. The walls are thin so we heard the neighbors above all night long, bed was terrible and while the beach chairs/umbrellas were nice that’s about the only positive I can say. "

"Our room wasn’t ready at 4:00 check in time. Had to wait until after 5:00 to check in. Housekeeping was not the greatest: glasses not replaced for 2 days, coffee & sugar, cream, etc., not replaced, etc., They didn’t answer the phone when I called down to ask for clean glasses & coffee cups. Other than that it was a wonderful property and would stay again. Can’t beat the location! "

"Our check in was at 1500. We got there about 1700 and they told us our room wasn’t ready. We had been traveling all day so it was a little annoying/frustrating we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for our room to be ready as we were sooooo tired from traveling all day. "
