"On arrival, gave our room key and shown entrance when pub shut how to use everything etc. Put in a room which was fine but had tape down across the floor to the bathroom. When we asked for towels, Tommy apologised and said we should not even be in that room, so he helped my husband move to a bigger and better room. Tommy could not do enough for us. Breakfast has lots of choices. You just have to ask as there's no menu. Again Tommy brilliant with service and prompt delivery. A very happy chap. Id...

"Good points :- Location, helpful staff, clean an & comfortable rooms and dining facilities, good food. Bad points :- Car park far too small - can be a real problem finding a space and parking. No lift to upper floors and therefore access challenging for some senior citizens and a no-go for the disabled."

"The staff, we found to be friendly, helpful and efficient. Room bedding and towels were clean with replacements available if required. Rooms were serviced alternate days, but also on request. Breakfasts were well presented with plenty of choices from hot, cereals, fruit, pastries etc We had dinner most evenings, which we enjoyed, with a choice of 2 or 3 courses. Also sandwiches were available if requested at lunch time in the bar."

"Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great. A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!! The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!! The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed."

"Breakfast good choice, poached eggs overdone and staff cheerful. Paper thin walls mean you hear every small noise so not great. Lovely grounds to walk in and the nearby Rock Inn pub well worth a visit."

We were lucky with the weather so we made use of the outside pool. We visited here as it was my birthday I received a card and shortbread on arrival lovely personal touch thank you."

"Check in was very easy, the room was compact but okay for 1 night stay. We had our dog and our room was the furthers away from the main entrance or garden, so would have been better if we was a bit closer. breakfast was really good and the bar was well stocked and a great view from the bay window. would defiantly stay again."

"Its high end with great decor and fab spa facilities. Our stay was somewhat spoiled by drunken guests and their friends in the next room making excessive noise and shouting between 12.30-2.30 am, keeping us awake, security was called twice to try and resolve and did offer us a rom change in the middle of the night which was not practical. On speaking to Harry the manager it appears this was not the only case that evening. The hotel should consider introducing a quiet policy after 12 with...

"Made little use of facilities as we were out most of the time. Room was rather small & needed artificial light. On arrival the room was unbearably hot & it took some time for the fan to have any effect. In fact we had to keep the fan all night. The coffee from the machine was undrinkable."

"Hotel a 3 minute walk to promenade,staff very pleasant and helpful. Down side……No on site car parking and building looking a little tired."
