"Good location, easy access, friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms. Bathrooms a bit tight and dated. My room was on the ground floor, not too noisy from the main highway across the front, but lots of noise from banging on the floor from movements of occupants upstairs."

"The rooms were very roomy I did not like that the chef had food sitting on bench when it wasn’t busy and could of rang bell then I saw the chef take the Pattie out of one of the burgers and reheat and put back on disgusting waitstaff saw it and looked away until I bought it to there attention"

"Due to last minute changes in my itinerary, I had booked a last minute stay at this hotel, and when I arrived (11:30pm), the doors were closed, and eventually managed to talk with reception via an intercom system. With a non-interested rude voice, the man at reception simply said I cannot see your booking and to go away, even though I was trying to show the booking reservation confirmation and number through the camera of the intercom. "Have stayed at The Peninsula on many occasions. Great location, good value and walking distance to good restaurants, cafes, shops supermarket and ferry. This time had a one bedroom apartment, with a small usable kitchen and great for 2 people. Adequate free parking on site however when busy you may need to park on the street. Would highly recommend."

"Lovely period property, good decor, clean. Larger than it appears in photos. On a busy intersection with passing traffic. Ground floor has a lovely pub with live music. Rooms are above this so chose higher floor for less noisy rooms. Bed very comfy and linen good. Room very comfy. Bathroom good size with great shower. Restaurant good for casual dining. No breakfast choices but some cafes and 7-11 nearby. We'd have preferred to have had breakfast on site. Biggest negative is due to its...
