"NO INTERNET, NO WIFI – Otherwise very good all respects. When we arrived at Robin Lodge, we were really impressed. It is lovely. Spacious, clean, well equipped, warm. However, there is no internet nor wifi. In this day and age, to not have wifi is unbelievable and somewhat shortsighted. Whilst the listing makes no reference to wifi, I personally think that it should be explicitly stated that there is no wifi. You just have to look at the reviews to see that others, like us, have been caught...

"This is a very pleasant hotel, ideally situated for those arriving in Skipton by train. It's virtually the first thing you see when leaving the station. It's a ten minute stroll into the town centre, past a former cotton mill, and there's an alternative route via the attractive canal towpath, easily accessible from the rear of the hotel. "What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot."

"Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back"

"Friendly and helpful staff, particularly on Reception. Plenty of parking. Clean room with good facilities. Breakfast was good but quite basic. Did not like the way beverages were brought to the table - a tea bag in a cup of hot water. A teapot would be much better - they’re used during evening meal service but “not allowed” during breakfast! Excellent evening meals."

"We were comfortable in our room but we found it unusual that the cleaning staff weren’t cleaning rooms until very late in the day. So the first day we said just leave our room for today but we do require a few things (TP and coffee). Other than that our room was never refreshed at all. "We enjoyed our stay. The staff was really friendly. The pub and the beer garden is a lovely area. We enjoyed the beer. And the full English vegan breakfast made our stay even more enjoyable. Great location for walks. "

"The hotel was easy to find and quite central for Keighley and venturing further afield. The car park is tucked behind the back, not so great. Although the staff were friendly and helpful at breakfast which was really cooked nice and tasted great, I found the lack of a reception quite unusual. Our room was comfy and clean but the shower was quite poor, an over bath one which was not very powerful. It says it is quirky, very true but also quite dated."
