Holiday Inn Louisville Downtown by IHG
6/10 Okay
"It took a couple of trips around blocks in the area to find the hotel entrance. Very poor signage. When we arrived at 5pm there was absolutely no one to be found. There was another couple who had arrived 10 minutes before we arrived. We waited ab15 minutes for someone to be at the desk. The person was very nice. Then we decided to have dinner in the restaurant there. We went there at 6pm and again, no one on sight. Went to the desk clerk and asked where the restaurant staff were hiding. She didn’t know and said for us to go and have a seat in the empty eatery. A few minutes later a person arrived. They were all very friendly."

"Our go to place when in town for the Louisville Bats game. 8 minute walk to the stadium and works great! Parking on the street is free, $20 a day additional is available."

Omni Louisville Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed in a luxury suite on the 10th floor for 4 or 5 nights. I enjoyed it so much. I kept extending my stay, I did that twice. Everything was absolutely lovely from the check-in all the way to checking out. The front desk employees were so helpful, specifically Stevenia, who is an absolute dream and so relatable, I love her so much. The valet were amazing, including Shawn and another gentleman who literally carried all of my bags from the garage to the front door for me, I wish I could remember his name, he was perfection. I enjoyed a couple services at Mokara Spa by the most amazing lady named Corie, she was the kindest and most patient person I got to experience during my stay, as well as Abby at the spa’s front desk, who was an absolute dream to deal with.. so kind and so understanding with a situation I was dealing with. Cooper, with in room dining/room service, was to die for. Oh, and I cannot forget how delicious the food at Bob’s steak and chophouse was, and the mocktail we had was so delicious. I just want to say that my stay at the Omni Louisville could not have been more perfect. Thank you guys so much for everything, I will never forget my experience."

Derby City Gaming & Hotel - A Churchill Downs Property
10/10 Excellent
"The room was awesome. Fresh, well maintained, nicely decorated, nice bathroom, nice amenities. The room was also larger than I expected with a sitting area and tall ceilings. Furniture was nice and the bathroom/shower was great. I would have liked to see more hooks in the bathroom and in the entry way for pj's and coats/purses. Restaurant on site - top notch. Food was great, staff great, drinks even better. Parking - simple lot but I did like the ample and free parking. Location was great if you are going to be near the college or the Downs. Right off the express way, easy to find. Casino was basic. Slots only and felt a bit low class in that there were only slots. The restaurants and bars that were in the casino I did not attend as they were surrounded by the slots and not very big. Would have liked to see a coffee/snack option at the hotel that was not inside the casino area."

Crowne Plaza Louisville Airport Expo Ctr by IHG

"Very nice place to stay"

Cottonwood Airport & Expo Hotel Louisville
2/10 Terrible
"This was probably one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. There was a group of maybe 8 people who took over a common area that was blasting inappropriate music over a Bluetooth speaker while they got extremely drunk and allowed all their children to run around the other common areas of the hotel unsupervised and this went on until 1 am then when they went to there room they continued partying and blasting music while their children ran up and down the hallways screaming and knocking on doors. Overnight staff was called multiple times and they insisted they would “take care of it”. This happened for 2 NIGHT IN A ROW. We had no sleep and this made for a terrible vacation. Amenities listed on the page included soundproof rooms which is a lie. You could hear dogs barking for hours on end and children screaming. The bathroom was tiny and had no ventilation, the beds were uncomfortable and the location was in a sketchy neighborhood. Only thing I will say I liked was the breakfast and the friendly morning staff I was able to talk to about the incident."

"We stayed to go over to a concert at the KFC center. Well worth the money! Walked over and back. So easy, didn’t have to fight crowds. Even splurged for the vallet, also worth the money! And extra $20 not to have to fight crowds! We will absolutely stay again if we come back!"
