"Having come from another top local hotel and been rather disappointed, Desertica was a breath of fresh air. We were warmly greeted and given detailed local info by the excellent friendly warm front office person. The room was exceptional, as were the hotel grounds. "Absolute perfection. Incredible location right in the middle of town yet quiet and safe. Rooms are clean and beautifully appointed. Bathrooms are a bit small but they have great shower pressure and amenities. Our room had a cute garden but there are many locations on the property to sit and relax. The facility is beautifully kept and their customer service is incredible. Smooth and easy check in and check out. They totally spoil you with mid day snacks , afternoon tea and cookies and evening wine and cheese. Continental Breakfast is available from very early am for people who leave on excursions and more options ( eggs etc) are available after 7 am. We left every morning very early so cannot comment on quality of the full breakfast. The staff is incredible. Franklin, the manager, remembers everyone’s names and speaks to all guests to ensure their satisfaction. And everyone else follows his lead in providing incredible service to all the guests. We were there for 3 nights and wished we could stay longer. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Our Habitas Atacama and appreciated how thoughtfully the hotel’s design and aesthetic mirror the surrounding desert landscape. Breakfast was excellent, with a diverse spread and the added bonus of choosing a hot dish from the menu each morning. It was a great way to start full days of exploring. Service and housekeeping throughout our stay were also consistently warm, attentive, and reliable. One of the standout experiences for us was the stargazing offered at the hotel. Being able to step out of our room, sip chamomile tea, and take in an incredibly bright night sky right within the property was truly special experience. We booked our excursions through the hotel’s preferred partner, Trekana, and had a seamless experience. Tours were always on time, guides were knowledgeable, and everything was well organized, allowing us to fully enjoy each outing. As other reviews mention, the hotel is about a 10–12 minute walk from the town center, and the road can be quite dusty. This didn’t bother us at all since we frequently walked into town to shop and dine, but it’s good to be aware of. Overall, we loved having Our Habitas Atacama as our base to explore such a unique region. Would definitely recommend and would happily stay again."
