"Very comfortable stay, staff was nice and friendly. Room was quite clean and big enough for a couple. The balcony was a nice addition. A little street noise but not an issue for us at all. Convenient location for bus transportation to airport, about 15 minutes to Quattro Canti and another 10 for the Duomo. A little far to walk to the central train station but doable without luggage."

"The ground floor lounge spaces and its bar always seemed deserted, and there is a strong smell of Ortigia room scents throughout. The heavy-handed interior design overwhelms the more classic beauty of the original palazzi. We are architects, so this kind of poor design is more offensive to us than most. We finally got help with the AC, which had been turned off in our first room, and the young men "helping" us turn it back on were surly and laughing at our apparent stupidity in not being able to find the tiny black button on the tiny black thermostat. So, several hot and uncomfortable nights spent before solving that mystery. It's a great location with good array of breakfast choices, but I would not go back here."

Very clean, very comfortable, good sized rooms, quiet air conditioning, and fantastic views from the rooftop restaurant and bar. Be sure to have a drink in the bar with Robert, a true professional with an engaging personality with amazing stories to tell Very highly recommended"

"The location is very central to the historic center so most of the historic attractions are with a fifteen minute walk, as are the train and bus terminals to go to other cities. Do keep in mind that this building requires you to carry your luggage up stairs so not a good choice if you pack heavy and will struggle taking heavy bags up two or three floors of stairs."

If you’re looking for a fancy hotel I would say pick something else but something easy conveniently located and average it’s perfect. Especially for the price."
