"Beautiful room, we were in the Secret Garden apartment which was a very kind free upgrade from the Bond room we booked. Beautiful copper bath in the main room, nice and romantic. Rally big bathroom and shower with plenty room for 2 people. We will definitely be staying with them in the future and we may also try the lovely Aven restaurant they have on the ground floor. "This is the 5th time we’ve stayed here in a year. Excellent stay, we were a little early for check in, however we had been sent the check in details earlier, so we entered the building to see if the room was ready, I was greeted at our room by a staff member/owner, he was putting the heating on in all the rooms because it was so cold - very thoughtful touch. "Clean room with enormous and very comfortable bed. Options for pillows. Blackout curtains were thick and insulating. Air conditioning/heating unit worked (a rarity in most hotels!), staff friendly, good food options, a bath as well as shower and a decent-sized desk. Parking on-site too!"

"The hotel was well located to the centre of town and the main railway station. The staff were excellent and very accommodation with baggage storage and a room change we had to make. Unfortunately one of their guests on Jan 20th smoked Marijuana and the ground stairs lobby and lift stank of the smoke. Shame because of this i could only give them 3 stars."
