"The hotel is modern and well situated near the downtown quaint part of blowing rock. The room is large and well equipped. It has an excellent bathroom (set up, lighting, modernized shower enclosure, etc.). the restaurant downstairs is pretty decent and not overpriced. We noticed that the nightstands on the closet side are a little small but that's not a big problem. The included breakfast is adequate, but not amazing. Ideally, we like our hotels to have a fitness center, but in this location, you just get all your working out, walking around in town and on the local trails. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!"

"I like to stay in the condo suite at the Mountainaire, it's lovely! It's annoying to have to check in at a nearby hotel, but the receptionists there are attentive and kind so it's a small inconvenience and doesn't keep me from returning. The property grounds are pretty and the AC works well in the summer, in addition to floor fans they keep in the rooms."

"Wonderful hotel that is walkable to everything in downtown Blowing Rock. Property is new and very clean. Plenty of parking on site. They even offer earplugs (we didn't need them), eye shades, a steamer, and phone charging plugs built into the lamps. The hotel is unstaffed, so make sure you get your entry code before you get there (we couldn't get a cell signal in the parking lot so had to borrow wifi from a local store). We had a couple of reasons to contact the staff, and they were very friendly and responsive. We will stay here again."

"This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining. The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable - I slept better than at home. The property was also nicely landscaped, with lovely outside seating areas. Some people might balk at the age and size of the property, but if you want the Ritz, pay for the Ritz. I will definitely stay here again my next time in town."
