"The room was clean. The staff was very nice and helpful with questions. Breakfast staff was familiar with gluten free needs. Rooms were pretty hot due to heat wave. Did appreciate the fan."

"Give this hotel a miss if you want a smooth and stress free transfer to the airport. On arriving via train I was told the courtesy bus to the airport would be at least 30 minutes and advised to walk, In the morning when I had to catch my flight, I waited over 30 minutes for the bus to the terminal, to be told it could only take 21 seated and 11 standing (many more than this were waiting due to the lengthy wait) and then advised it was only going to terminal 2. Appalling service and won’t be...

"Room was very clean and comfortable, thanks for putting in the fan. receptionist was very welcoming and efficient and a lot of fun, so the stay started well. Did not use the facilities so cant comment. Overall very happy and would recommend."

"Across from the train station and a fairly short walk to City Center, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are slightly small but comfortable and the staff was extremely kind."

"This is the second time we have stayed here, in two months. Once again, we cannot praise the whole experience any higher than absolutely excellent. The location for all amenities, the staff for their help in making our stay wonderful. The hotel itself, including the rooms, are to the highest standard and cleanliness. The food is also excellent, lovely choice of breakfasts."

"Character property in the heart of Buxton. We arrived very late (after midnight) and the Night team at the hotel were exceptional. They couldn't have been more helpful in moving luggage and assisting check in while my wife tried to keep our baby asleep. Good breakfast in the morning. Well appointed room."

"Close proximity to the airport - walking distance, but very little noise. All good, just needs some attention to detail in cleaning of the rooms. For one night prior to flight all was ok"

"Lovely comfy room and flexible air con so we could have the temperature we wanted. Check in busy and slow but staff pleasant. Didn't eat here so can't comment on food. Only annoyance was noisy guests in the corridor in the early hours. I'd have thought it would be common sense and respectful to talk quietly outside other people's rooms. Minutes from T2 so really convenient (also easy walk to train station). Access from arrivals (ground floor)."

"The least comfortable hotel room I have ever had the displeasure to stay in. Who knew they manufactured mattresses so thin. (It was thinner than my tube of toothpaste!) The bed is shoved in a corner so only one person can get in. Had a drink in the bar... my wife left hers. They have averts on yhe walls for the bar in the next door hotel. My advice, stay there instead."

"Not the hotel but a party came back from Manchester at 1.00am and kept us up all night and we checked out at 4.30am and no offer of changing rooms or anything but sorry."
