"Nice lounge to relax and read. Breakfast was great quality, lots of choice and good coffee! We booked a private room with ensuite which was in the barn annex. This was basic, but ok, but the heating wasn't working in that building. Soaking wet after 20mile walk. Staff eventually moved us to another private room, 4 bed, in the main building. On arrival at 5pm was told to order dinner before 6.30pm as there was a large group booked in at 7pm. So we did at 6.00pm only to be told the chef was now...

"We stayed in a four poster bedroom in late October 26. The hotel is a fascinating place (in a good way). Steeped in history but extremely well maintained. The bedroom was superb, luxurious and super clean with a very comfortable bed. We had both evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. Both were exceptional and decent value too. The staff were all professional, polite and friendly. Only minor gripe is the parking. The hotel parking itself is small and tight. Plus you will need to be there...

"Beautiful and well equipped room. If booking, be aware that there is no car park and they don’t serve breakfast although there are two excellent cafes close by. Wi-Fi is via I cloud and you need to have an account and know your password."

"The Pilsley Inn is the quintessential English country side experience. The room was thoughtfully appointed and way bigger than expected. Cozy bed, nice linens and thoughtful touches everywhere. The staff were delightful, each and every one of them. And the food…omg, the food! So good! We wish we booked more than one night!"

"Very disappointing. Room was cold and tv not working. Left voicemail for contact twice but received no response. Had to put spare duvet on top of bed. The fact that this spare duvet was in the wardrobe perhaps indicates that the lack of heat is a continuing problem. Internet was intermittent and difficult to get. Towels very hard - suggest you take your own."
