"Really sweet and helpful staff, but this is an old building so no elevators and if you're on anything higher than the second floor you will be humping your bag up very narrow, steep and curved stairs. The room was cozy, what you would expect from an older European hotel. I would stay there again because it's very central to a lot of the historic area, which was convenient."

"Location is great. Property is historic. However, for the price (about $579 per night), the room was just ok. The worst part was that view was literally one of what looked like drainage pipes and and AC vents. Very disappointing and not a good value for money. Kept the window closed the whole time which was depressing. I'd recommend staying elsewhere and just visiting the hotel for brunch or a meal. I would not stay here again. The staff was very prompt, friendly and super helpful."

"The staff was very nice and helpful, and the room that we stayed in was fabulous. The property is conveniently located to many of what Amsterdam has to offer. The one drawback about the property was that there was no air conditioning in the room that we stayed, which probably isn't bad for most of the year. However, we stayed at the beginning of July and it was still pretty warm during the night. But other than that, we would definitely stay here again."

"We had the attic room, bed was really uncomfortable and there was no curtains in the room. The floor was really dirty, made you just feel unclean and just was a really dirty room, the shower head also did not fit on the rack. Check in was in another hotel 3 doors down and the stairs was steep to get up and down, same with the actual hotel, as we were on the top floor it was like climbing Everest to get to our room! Unfortunately I would not stay there again. Also definitely not worth the price...
