"Rooms were okay but dated, felt pretty run down. Breakfast was a HUGE let down. They had no eggs, meat, or gluten free options, no yogurt. Just some bagels and cereal. Apparently they ran out a food because a truck didn't arrive, they offered no refund and said because we booked through Expedia they couldn't help. Overall okay but pretty expensive for the quality. Half the staff seemed nice and infested, the other half were in pajamas, stained clothes, no name tags, looked like they just rolled...

"Hotel was clean and well maintained. We arrived around 8:00pm and decided to eat at the restaurant on property. We were surprised to be told that the kitchen closes at 9:00. It’s a Casino Hotel. Food was average and staff friendly but not well trained. Our server did not know how to open the bottle of wine we ordered but was very grateful we taught her. Also disappointed that they only clean the room every 3 days. When we requested fresh towels they left a bag of towels outside our room...

"Liked cherry coffee/ hot chocolate in the lobby and cookies. Pool and jacuzzi great. Nice having free breakfast. Nice walking to pirate cove putt putt and go carts next door."

"We booked the room thinking we were going to be on the resort property but we were a mile down the road at these very outdated condos. The room had dead bugs, dirty bedding, and patio door that was lacking the greasing or maintenance to allow it to open easily. There was no box breakfast and beach club that looks inviting did not have any bar or grill. It rained earlier in the day so they closed it down for the whole afternoon and evening. Also, the Den which had all the cool arcade games...

"We had an excellent experience at the Grand Beach Resort. Being able to walk directly to the beach and have hotel towels and chairs was a real game changer. The indoor pool was also nice as it rained a bit or was just another way to have fun away from the pool. We had an issue with the bathtub that the staff took care of very quickly. Breakfast was simple and met our needs. We appreciates having it delivered to our door each morning. We were very happy with the rate staying during the week....

"Seemed kind of run down but we had no other options. Spend the extra $ and at least go to Hampton inn, if beach is t that important. Very hard beds, no extra pillows for the hard bed"

"Air conditioning was very noisy and blew the curtains directly above open creating privacy issues as I was on the first floor. There was no guide for the television and remote was clunky. The shower was difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature. The parking lot was small and was flooded when I checked in which left the small lot even more crowded."

"I loved the price for the week. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is only a short walk to the beach. We road our bikes downtown traverse city and it was only 30 minutes. Located 30 to 45 mins to sandunes and torchlake. Overall great experience. Great fishing spots in walking distance."

"This is a great place to stay, however, if you’re in the adjoining rooms and you have noisy neighbors ….it echoes back into the other room if you’re not in a hallway room. The management was excellent on having a loud child next-door quiet down , even though it was due to the combined entry point. Loved the beds and the view was excellent. Rooftop bar was really nice and pleasant. They had cookies in the evening, which were really good and they always had to grab breakfast of croissant or stone...

"Very quiet and clean hotel and within walking distance of downtown Traverse City. My only complaint and it’s very minor - there are not enough mirrors in the room. The only mirror was in the bathroom. We like a mirror in the room area (not just the bathroom) so others can do hair and makeup when a person is in the bathroom. This is a very nice hotel and the breakfast is nice. I would definitely stay here again."
