"Wonderful place in prime area to stay."

"Staff was friendly, bed was comfortable, room was refurbished but they forgot about bathroom which was terrible (rusty screws, shower curtain hanger, bulging ceramic tiles). Breakfast was disappointing - super basic - do not recommend. I won't be coming back."

"Stayed here for a wedding as a family of four. Very nice room, a little bit on the expensive side but weighing up a taxi home 40 miles and breakfast it worked out about the same. Breakfast was very good. The drinks at the bar were a bit on the expensive side at £8 a pint but what can you do "

"Property was excellent but as an old building it has no lift which is difficult if you have mobility issues or are elderly "

"Great hotel in a lovely spot, elevated above the road linking Matlock + Matlock bath. Comfortable and clean rooms with good space, and friendly, helpful staff. Evening food was really nice too. Definitely recommend 🌞"

"Lovely clean room perfect for my family of two young children staying … Clean and comfy bedroom, plenty of added extras - mini fridge, iron, hairdryer etc. pool was lovely - warm pool and steam room/jacuzzi very nice. Tasty brekkie with so many options including a cute children’s table! Staff friendly and helpful and went to extra mile to make us a hot chocolate on the evening for our children with cute smiley faces on when that technically wasn’t on sale at the bar… We will definitely be going...

"Brrakfast was lovely although the pastry selection had vastly diminished within 10 minutes of breakfast opening and didnt get topped up or refreshed. Overall breakfast selection and quality was outstanding and served quickly. Room standard was also very good with lots of room. Friendly hotel and bar staff and would definitely recommend and stay again. Lots of available parking also."
