"I will be staying here when I return to the area. From the staff to the room to the grounds it is evident that the family runs this place with pride. I meet a few of the family members and they were friendly, helpful and a great to talk to. There are 2 historic homes beside each other in a quiet neighborhood. The grounds behind the homes are well maintained with birds and deer in the mornings."

"This is one of those local places that offered exactly what I needed for a fantastic price. In fact, the standard king size bed was a wonderful plus for me. The room was comfortable, welcoming and perfect. The staff member I spoke to the most was just so helpful, friendly and welcoming. "The most disgusting and dirtiest place I’ve stayed. It should be reported to the department of health. If they offer breakfast, DO NOT eat, God knows the state of the food and kitchen. Room #1 had a powerful smell of urine, the tv did not work, the air conditioner stuck on one setting. Room #2 when I asked to be moved smelled less like urine, but now added cigarettes. The window did not close all the way, dirty rug with stains, smudging/gunk all over the light fixtures, a fridge that hadn’t...

"The staff was so helpful. We hit bad weather and are travel was delayed and Expedia system canceled out room after 11pm. When we called to verify travel (due to weather) was delayed. We literally had no room to sleep and the staff figured out for us."

"The facility is clean and well maintained, plenty of parking and well located. I was given a handicap room and it is was very dark with false windows and frosted glass and dim light behind the glass. There was 1 lamp and bed lights, but that was not sufficient to provide adequate light for this room. The TV remote did not work, they replaced it but then the TV would not turn off, it had to be unplugged. The bathroom was awkward, no vanity and the toilet paper roll would not stay in the holder....

"The free breakfast was very good & the gent caring for it was pleasant and helpful. A simple tablet & pen on the desk in the room would have been appreciated for making some notes. The desk clerk said all we had to do was ask. The alarm clock was stuck at 8:20 and could not be reset. The simple to maintain air filters for the room air-conditioner were very dirty. The shower had plenty of hot water, soaps and towels and was appreciated. Many fast-food franchises were within easy walking...

"The hotel has no official parking. They direct you to a public parking garage that charges over $20 to park in. Insane that a hotel charging close to $300 for a room doesn’t have their own parking. The room was bland, absolutely cookie cutter and not well kept. Multiple metal fixtures had staining (possibly rust?). Wooden furniture was breaking down in some places. The “filtered water” they advertise tasted exactly the same as the tap water in the bathroom. You could have gotten a similar...

"The hotel was conveniently located and very clean. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Because of the weather and downpours, we decided to eat in at Monks- and the service was phenomenal as well as the food! Definitely glad we stayed."
