"We were allocated a room for a disabled person even though neither of us are disabled or had requested it. However we did appreciate the wet room rather than a bath with shower over. But, and a big but for any traveller, there was nowhere in the bathroom to place toiletries, razors, toothbrushes, deodorant, hairbrushes etc etc. All the things that are needed within reach of the sink. We ended up dragging the chair in the shower to the sink in order to have our toilet bags close without them...

"The staff were particularly helpful. They were out of welcome cookies but told us to make sure to call back for them. Our request for a quieter room was accommodated. The room was immaculate, roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had both bath and shower. Faultless."

"I found hotel a bit grubby. Breakfast selection was good, but was cold. Middle of afternoon I was in my room and a staff member let themselves in. No knock to warn me. I was told by reception that staff are entitled to enter rooms and to put up a do not disturb sign. Cleaners had already been. Noisy at night from local club, so didn't sleep well. "The room was clean and so was the communal areas. Location good for the ice rink, hence the selection of the hotel. Downside - I booked as it was advertised as budget but there are all the hidden extras. Breakfast was extra at £8.50 each and was only a two types of cold pastries, limited cereal, toast and a couple of toppings. Not worth £8.50. No kettles or tea/coffee in rooms - that you had to pay for but the hot water downstairs was complimentary which you had to carry upstairs if you...

I made a mistake leaving a shirt and jeans in my room after leaving, the staff were incredibly helpful in assisting me in getting the items posted back to my house - really went the extra mile.
