"Beautiful property and great location in Stone Town. The breakfast and kitchen staff were amazing and very welcoming. However, we booked the Presidential Suite but were not given that room and were instead moved between lower category rooms. The issue was not properly acknowledged, and staff insisted all rooms were the same and similarly priced, which did not reflect what was advertised on Expedia. Overall, the stay did not match the booking, so I’d recommend confirming room types in advance."

"The hotel is in a very convenient location. It is a short walk to the Forodhani Gardens and the former Slave Market. There are several restaurants closeby especially a very popular one Lukmaan. The area around the hotel is bustling in the day and quiet at night. A taxi cannot drive up to this property so you will to do a short walk through the streets to get there. The staff speaks English and provides concierge service (directions, booking drivers/transportation and excursions). They were all concerned for my well-being and safety.
