"Very lovely hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The French pastry shop was excellent for coffee and a pastry for breakfast. The hotel is very close to the subway and an easy walk to The Museum of Natural History, The Met, and the Guggenheim. The only reason I did not give it a 5 Star is because of our bathroom. It was very, very small, which is not a problem. But it could use a soap dish for the hand soap and more hooks to hang towels on. Maybe even a shelf to put toiletries while using them."

"Very cramped room, unable to easily move around, check in was not same for every guest, for example the other guests were properly invited and offered cookies vs no warm welcome for us"

"Room was clean and properly stocked with everything we needed. Stafff was wonderful from the doormen to counter to bar , we had a great experience. The hotel is closed to the museums and also close to public transportation which was a big plus for us. We traveled with our dog and had a lot of fun walking her to the park which was only two blocks away. 100% recommended!!!! Great restaurants in the area too"

"My first problems seemed to belong more to Expedia than to the hotel. I was booked & charged for 2 persons in the room (my name had been entered twice) & they could not correct it. Secondly I was charged, acc to Expedia two different prices for my 2 nights there— again, Expedia would not assist despite my 3 calls to them. Riu plaza room was small but lovely. It had all needed amenities & was mostly satisfactory. My only difficulties were with a frequent sandpaper rubbing kind of noise at all...

"The hotel and rooms are old. It's noisy outside. There were workers doing maintenance, which wasn't a great experience. Even though the guy gave us a better room, it still wasn't clean or modern enough. The New Yorker Hotel has a good reputation, and I hope they take better care of it in the future."

"Staff were friendly, I was able to check in a couple hours early. In short walking distance to Penn Station/Madison Square Garden. About a 10 minute walk to Times Square if you want to be in a less hectic area. Room was kind of tiny but suitable for 2 people for a queen size bed."
