"The maintenance issues did not take away from the enjoyment of our stay. However, for the price, I think it fell short of expectation. The taps did not turn properly, the sinks, shower and tub did not drain, the 4 poster bed was repaired by wrapping sheets around the posts (wth?) I think it is very important to note THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING! They did their best with fans, and then - with a very grateful heart - a portable air conditioning unit. The buffet was very good but had zero variation...

"I wasn’t under the impression that there is so much renovation going on at the hotel. The first impression as you walk into reception was bar concrete floors and uneven. I was sporting a fractured elbow with having to wear a sling, with the floors under reservation it didn’t feel safe. Tge room we had the air conditioning didn’t work and there was an electric fan which was extremely noisier and sounded like it was going to pack up at anytime. "Lovely Hotel with restaurant. Breakfast was very nice using good quality ingredients. I particulalry enjoyed the bacon. The restaurant was also very good for meals. Location was convenient for the centre of Stevenage. Staff were helpful and attentive."

"This hotel is basically student accommodation, running and shouting down the hall ways around midnight. Eventually moved room after initially being told hotel was full to then be told "my bad" we have another room."

"Alie was a wonderful host and came quickly to welcome me and offered to help with my bags. The room was great, really clean and the bathroom was perfect. Might have liked a little more room to hang clothes but there were hangers on the back of the door. Alie also offered me an iron and board and said to call on her if I needed anything.
