"Lovely friendly pub with fabulous breakfast"

"We arrived around 4:30, the carpark was busy and the restaurant really busy - wasn’t an issue for us as we were going out. The reception is away from the hustle and bustle of the bar/ restaurant which was good. The room was big enough, but the beds are really small. My husband had to go and ask for another room (on his own) as the double was bearly wide enough for both of us, let alone long enough. … so if you are over 5’8 you will struggle. "The only problem was that my wife and I are in our Seventies year young, and during the cold spell early March, the room heater did not come on until 18.00pm. We were cold . We did not complain to reception because we know that the heating was timed set to come on."

"Internet was good, lived the smart tv access, aircon didn't work but wasn't a major issue, there is a huge shell petrol station that has a waitrose inside, also a subway and a coffee shop on the same complex, overall hotel is decent and fit for purpose it's modern and clean, if you want luxury go else where, if you just want a cheap clean no frill stay this is the place I'd give it a solid 7.5 out of 10. "

"Good hotel with many facilities on site for young families - presumably comes into its own with improving weather. We just needed a room and breakfast and it did that with ease."

"There is a large car park but it can get busy at peak times. Register your car at the bar. Our fourth visit in the last year. We like it. Staff, food, atmosphere and location. There are a few maintenance issues that could be addressed, e.g. dripping taps, shower door off runners and touch up of decor in places. We expect to return."

"Breakfast was not good. Only 2 pieces of bacon left and 1 hash brown. Also was never told they charge you an extra £20 for checking in before 3pm. Luckily the receptionist did have a room ready so gave it to me without charging. This is something to look out for."

"Stayed for one night as was attending a meeting with a late finish. Check-in was simple and professional. The room was clean and well-maintained. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with lovely toiletries supplied. More than enough coat hangers and wardrobe space for my needs. But it’s the staff that I really wanted to talk about…. "Rooms are clean & comfortable, staff friendly & the food is very good. I’ve stayed here a few time but this was my first time with a room on the main road side & cars passing is continuous so I’m glad I had ear plugs, it’s something I’ve never heard on the back of the hotel"
