"Once probably a very poice hotel. Now without proper maintanance overpriced and very noisy. We had a good room, premium, although the fridge in the room was taken out, light in the bathroom didn’t function. Breakfast was very poor, very basic with almost nothing to choose from. Spa was ok."

Thus the property has a many different levels and steps up to the rooms; each with a wonky charm; typical of this era dwellings. On top of the olde world charm, it still has a modern fit-out and was a very comfortable stay. "Recently refurbished in an attractive rural style the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. No air conditioning but a remote controlled Dyson fan was provided. The staff without exception were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine but could have done with some fresh fruit on the buffet table. However, when asked we were brought some pineapple which was good. The tables in the bar/restaurant were nicely laid out for dinner with proper napkins! The food was was generally typically hearty...
