"This is a delightful hotel/resort, and I would like to give it 5 stars. But for the price we paid I expected more attention to detail. The positives: the lobby and wooden structure are very appealing, and a great place to relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent, both the breakfast buffet and dinner. The swimming pool and hot tubs were very enjoyable. Now the critical part. Our room was comfortable, but the bathroom was cramped and dated. I realize this is a function of the age and design of the property, but people with mobility issues or parents trying to bathe their children might encounter a lack of space and convenience. Our toilet ran continuously. Some examples of lack of attention to detail include: 1. Notwithstanding several pool attendants standing around, the shower in the changing room was out of shower gel, which should not happen early in the morning. 2. The washroom outside the dining room was out of paper towels. I mentioned it to the restaurant receptionist, and she said she would let the appropriate staff know. When I returned about 45 minutes later, the paper towels were still missing. 3. Wine glasses were still on the upper lobby tables from the night before. 4. Flies in the restaurant. Also, I feel that a complimentary coffee station should be provided. I don’t like to use the in room coffee machines (hygiene concerns), but I felt ill used at having to pay $11 plus tax."
