"Charming hotel. Great location. Safe and easy street parking. Although there was someone there when we arrived, it seems staff is not always on premises. Main door and hotel rooms have combination codes which are sent via text. Rooms are lovely: comfortable beds and large bathrooms. TVs with all the streaming apps, coffee and tea station on each floor. No elevators. Reasonably priced. I would definitely go back. "

"Convenient to UAB, quiet, nice clean rooms. I would have booked at this hotel again if the price for one night had not doubled one week after my initial stay. For that reason, I booked another hotel in a safer part of town that was also convenient to UAB and exceeded my expectations for the price."

"Hilton Homewood Suites UAB (the 2-room suites are awesome) is a very nice hotel within close driving proximity to shopping and restaurants. Check-in was extremely easy and because they were super busy and the luggage carts were all in use Ms Chris and Ms Sondra from Management volunteered to help us with all of our luggage. We were very much appreciative of their help!!!"

"One of the best experiences that I’ve had with a hotel, they let us check in early after I had surgery. It was extremely modern clean and professional people were so gracious and nice even at the breakfast morning before we left. If I can give them 20 stars I would your front office Staff the gentleman working the breakfast the cleanliness everything was top-notch thank you so much and if I go to Birmingham, you’re my first choice. ! What a wonderful crew you have."

"I’ll start with what was good: the location is great for what we needed and the valet staff was super nice and helpful. It pretty much ends there. The elevator is broken (apparently this has been going on for over a week) so hotel guests, people using the roof top bar and staff all use the service elevator. We opted for the stairs and found the stair well to be filthy. The room was small (expected in an old hotel). The bed was an old spring mattress that had its last good night about a decade...

"You're paying for location. Valet was unavailable, and self parking is a nightmare. Upon check-in, my room wasn't available. It was stated it would be a hour later than the 4:00 pm check in time. Fortunately, I was able to placed in a room sooner. However, it was not the room I booked. The shower was stopped up, and the room wasn't as clean as I expected. "

"First I want to say that the staff was wonderful. The lady at the front desk, the gentlemen that works valet, and the restaurant staff are all top notch. The hotel is old, the elevator sounds like it's going to break, and the automatic doors don't work at the front of the hotel. The room was large and spacious, but there was a basket of trash from the former guest in our room, the refrigerator doesn't work, and there was trash under our bed- the rooms aren't thoroughly cleaned between guests....
