"Horrible experience, my family and I drove there from Miami Florida. It’s a 12 hour drive, some of us had to work the first day so we left a little bit late. "The pictures of the rooms in the ad do not match the actual rooms. They room also smelled like sewage."

"Some of the reviews had me worried but honestly for the price we paid I was fairly impressed. It was my husband my 4 year old and 2 year old and I who all stayed and I didn’t feel unsafe. It wasn’t really dirty. There was a little weird smell when we came in but nothing major it might have just been the heat cuz it was just turned on. Breakfast was good."

"Nice place was exactly what I pictures showed. Only problems were they didn’t disclose lounge was closed for season until after booked and fire pits were not turned on. Would stay again. Walking distance from the strip(wouldn’t walk down the hill it’s on) but far enough and isolated from the busy area, weird how both things can be true. Feels like a cabin in the woods with hotel amenities. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Bearskin Lodge. Everyone always says location is the most important thing; however, I feel when you are staying at a hotel that cleanliness is the most important, followed by location. Bearskin Lodge has both. The room was clean and the location excellent, so it is a win-win. The balcony on the river was cozy and relaxing. Staff members were extremely nice. "It’s no 5 star hotel but I give it 5 stars because for the price you pay, it’s really great. Staff helpful, clean room, great location, and a really beautiful creek going through it right outside the back porch. I’ll go back when I come to Gatlinburg."
