"Let’s start with accessibility, arrived Tuesday night, was assigned room on 2nd floor asked for a first floor room, was told they were booked up on Wednesday. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday parking lot for that side had 4 cars. Never saw more than 3 rooms utilized on the front side. Now I went down for continental breakfast on Wednesday, only yogurt and cereal. Decided to get apple juice and there were ants in the juice from juice machine. We sealed up all food items in room and went out for breakfast etc. Thursday morning I asked if there was housekeeping, a nice lady at the desk said we do, I asked for them to please service our room. Sure thing. Nothing. I went down to front desk to request towels for pool/hottub. Was given towels, but was told pool heater will not turn off and hottub heater is out of service. Friday still no housekeeping, wife went to front desk and did get the housekeeping supervisor to talk to. Very nice man who apologized very much and did make sure we received towels, shampoo and conditioner. Will not be back to that motel. It is too far to walk to get to downtown Helen. Also observed a male front desk clerk/manager being very rude with a gentleman who was trying to sign in. Oh, the microwave was out of commission, good things - the fridge and a/c worked very well, and the shower had good water pressure."
