"At the edge of Helen, but up a hill, this location was great, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. It looked like (from the unmoved stack of building materials) there is some kind of renovation or repair in the near future. The pool is a bit small, but indoor, and great for the family that can catch it unoccupied! Breakfast (included) was much better than most. Good cross of all kinds of normal breakfast offering.
If you’re a first timer to Helen, this hotel is a comfortable walk to only a few of the shops/ restaurants. Helen is very small, so it’s not like you will be driving far- but you need to know that most public parking is $10- flat rate for the hour or the day.
There are some areas for free- these will be noted by a sign “City of Helen Parking”. Not always the best, but if walking is your thing, then this will be a no-brainer. I say all this because to get the full scope and character of Helen, you will probably want to drive from this hotel."
