"We were given a room at the rear of the hotel which was in a converted annex. This was nicely decorated with basic amenities although we did have a shower and a bath. The accommodation was on 2 floors, with the bathroom on the ground floor and the bedroom on the first floor. This was not very convenient for us when using the bathroom during the night, especially as the stairs were steep and creaked, waking us both each time. There was one chair upstairs and one downstairs so we couldn't both sit together. We were given tea and coffee but no water. Staff were helpful when you could get hold of them but they took a long time to respond to the bell when called, if they responded at all."

"What a lovely hotel, Clean hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful Breakfast was very good. Other meals expensive but good. Always seen people in and out. I requested a ground floor room with a walk in shower. I had what I requested and what a lovely room. Town just down the road. Just a small walk away Free bus by the bus station to the racecourse Had a lovely day there. All in all what a great and enjoyable stay at Ripon, Thank you team "

"Quality B&B. Our room was cosy and very comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent quality. Will not hesitate to recommend and we will be returning if ever looking to stay again in the area."

"The property was clean and well equipped. The outside space, garden was nice to have. We stayed at Easter, so still a little chilly to sit out. Off road parking outside the property. Easy to access local shops, pubs, places to eat within walking distance. Owners were on hand if we needed anything. Would stay again."

"We stayed here as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids aged 11 & 7) for 4 nights. It was a very enjoyable place to stay, within walking distance of everything Masham has to offer - and the Co-op was incredibly close! The twin room upstairs doesn't have a door so noise travels but once the kids were asleep it didn't affect them. We stayed during Feb, so the skylight in the main bedroom was not an issue for us. The lounge, bathroom (shower only) and kitchen were all modern / nicely done."

"Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. Overall the staff at the bar and in the restaurant and around the hotel were very good however breakfast on Sunday morning left a lot to be desired in terms of service as anything cooked took an age to arrive and my wife after at least half an hour gave up on hers but it did arrive as we were leaving! The grounds and facilities are excellent. On departure I was clear to my complaint on the room, I was offered a token without any any investigation and offered access to speak with the deputy manager. I declined both and hoped it would have been dealt with differently as my point was not financial and being fobbed off with £50 and having to request the manager did not feel right. My intention was to convey disappointment with the room in the hope of investigation and recognition to a problem with some assurance it would not remain an issue for others. I left feeling no one really cared! "

"Stayed for 2 nights. 2 adults, 2 children and our dog. This place is a hidden gem in North Yorkshire. We had the most magical time. The Tree house and hut tub were pre heat for our arrival. Despite being very cold the little Tree house was so so cozy and remained cosy all night long after the fire had burnt out. There are multiple lights and fairy lights all round so it’s well Illuminated and you can swap the lights at reception daily for fully charged ones. There is plenty of wood at the end of each Tree house to keep fires stocked. You’ll never run out. The views, the grounds are just so picturesque, the trails to walk on are well kept and whole area is amazing. The residents room at reception has a free coffee machine and lots of games you can take to your TH. Also multiple charging options in there. There is just so much to like about this place. Our family didn’t want to leave. This is amazing for families but would also be really romantic for couples to get away. Don’t take my word for it get it booked you won’t regret it. Ps the sauna is lovely too."
