"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel! The breakfast was delicious and the staff very helpful. I didn't have a chance to visit the pool and sauna however. Only item to note is the central heating system was broken the weekend that I stayed. The hotel helpfully supplied a portable heater, which helped in the evening. "

"Lovely room at top, very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, bathroom spacious. Cooked breakfast was superb and beautifully presented. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Weeny downside, I had already paid via Expedia, my partner didn't realise, and when checking in, whilst I was elsewhere, paid for the room. Luckily he mentioned it later, and it got sorted and refunded. Would definitely stay there again, beautiful old building, and although a pub was very quiet in our room, ...

"Location is perfect, close to lots of things to do and see. The staff are all very nice and friendly, can't folt them at all. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of an upgrade in the bathroom and a freshen up but it was still a nice enough stay. Food was beautiful, dining room was very clean and nicely presented. Would highly recommend."

"Hotel used to be lovely. Now very tired. room had a layer of dust under furniture that looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly for years. Wifi didn't reach the room reliably and TV wasn't connected to aerial. The lounges are worn and they don't reserve some space for residents so you may not be able to use public areas unless you book them. Oh, and don't be a vegetarian."

"We had a wonderful stay here with our son, both sets of grandparents, and our dog, and it was perfect for everyone. From the moment we arrived, the first impression was fantastic. The spa was lovely and a great place to relax, and the food was brilliant throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious, although it did take a little while to arrive. "Only slight issue it was a bit chilly in the room though not too bad and we were only there a night so didn’t mention. Otherwise all good. Great central location opposite park (handy for dog walking). You made our dog very welcome. You have lovely staff who seemed genuinely interested in guests. You have a lovely bar and restaurant/room service. Parking next door easy to access. "
