"Great location and great people."

"I had a wonderful stay at Powter Howe, a real treat. The room and bathroom were immaculately cleaned and well kept and the host is a gem who cooks the best breakfast which includes lovely free range eggs from her own hens. Waking up in the morning to the view over a beautiful garden beyond the lake to Skiddaw was an extra treat as each morning there was a new ever changing Lake District vista. I'll definitely be back! "

"Lovely staff, nice and clean, great breakfast selection, great location, everything was great really. Only thing would be fewer single serving things like milk, ketchup and brown sauce packets. But otherwise a great place and we'd definitely go back."
